Why Election 2024?

I am Babar Raja, resident of the Hall Green constituency, I am community and political activist with over two decades of experience in Birmingham. I graduated from Birmingham City University in 2006 and have dedicated my life to various social and political causes. I have been running as an independent candidate in the upcoming MP election on July 4, 2024, driven by my belief that mainstream political parties have failed to deliver on their promises to voters. I feel these parties no longer deserve the public’s votes due to their inability to fulfill their agendas.

A central focus of my campaign is unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, a dedication that has spanned over 30 years since my teenage years. I stand firmly against the oppression of Palestinians and advocate for the recognition of Palestine as an independent sovereign state, similar to the stance taken by other European countries. I also demand that Britain cease spending taxpayer money on arming Israel. My candidacy aims to provide a strong, principled alternative to the established political options, emphasizing justice and international solidarity.

I believe our community deserves a representative who prioritizes your needs above all else. As an independent candidate, I am committed to transparency, integrity, and accountability. Together, we can build a brighter future for Hall Green, Moseley, Sparkbrook, Sparkhill, and Tyseley.
